Oh, Leo Morelli! You dangerous, broken, angry, proud, tortured soul!
The second book in this very steamy Beauty and the Beast retelling provides glimpses of Leo's hard past. This is a highly emotional read and deals with the aftermath of the first book's heartbreaking cliffhanger.
You can almost feel Leo struggle with pain, with pride, with his increasing feelings towards Haley and his need to protect the ones he love. As with most alpha characters from dark romances, there is more to Leo than his dark side and kink.
Haley is also struggling. Leo's shooting have affected her deeply. Once again, Haley becomes a prisoner in Leo's castle and she feels she needs to choose between him and her family.
This book also ends in a masterful cliffhanger. Can't wait for the conclusion of this trilogy!
Also, for fans of Amelia Wilde's books, we get a glimpse of Hades in this story and I hope he will help Leo with his pain in book three... one can only hope :)

i want y'all to kill off caroline already, way too many problems from this old lady omg. anyway i love the forced proximity in this book and i love how they are always taking care of each other.
leo and haley are the cutest thing ever and i just feel their love for each other but what the fuck was that ending fml. these cliffhangers aren't good for my mental health innit.

The story picks up where the last one left off. It's a painful start, and the characters have a lot to deal with. There's a little angst between them, but as always in book 2 of these trilogies, not a lot happens outside of an emotional journey of the characters. It's the calm before the storm. Tensions are brewing, and damn, I need a family tree to remember all the names LOL... Just as we're about to lay back and be happy about the couple, the end of the book comes in & takes it all away. Another cliffy for us here! Can't wait for the next book.

OMgosh I am seriously an emotional blubbering mess right now. The way the fairy tale got woven into the fabric of this story was seamless. It felt as though I was reliving every moment of my favorite Disney tale with a dark adult spin.
We met the Beast of Bishops Landing, Leo Morelli in Secret Beast and the foundation for the story was set. We witnessed Haley’s father ensnared by the Beast and Haley’s sacrificing of herself for her father's well-being, and we ended on one heck of a cliffhanger.
This time we open to an emotional wreck of a flashback for Leo. We experience what he went through as a child, secretly surviving a brutal behind closed doors lashing. His inner thoughts were enough to leave me short of breath from purely imagining the pain he had endured. Wrought with fever induced delirium we realize exactly how much sheer willpower can overcome anything. Mind over matter, isn’t that what they say.
The pure emotions in this book were what broke my heart, left me longing for more, and wrecked with a sense of loss. Learning how Leo obtained his moniker will devastate you.
I thought I was Team Constantine Forever after The Glass Sipper but I think that was more of a Winston Constantine thing. Because as of right now Leo Morelli has obliterated all past allegiances and has taken up residence as my newest book husband. He has completely stolen my heart and I absolutely cannot wait to read Fallen Rose.

We are given the opportunity to witness a different facet of Leo as this book delves into his past, shedding light on his childhood, his dynamic with his father, and his connections with his siblings.
In addition to this, Leo reveals to Haley that he is more than just the formidable Beast of Bishop's Landing. He exposes his vulnerable side, showcasing that he experiences pain, harbours deep love, and aspires to become a better man for her.
Haley posed a disconcerting element for me, urging her to "get a hold of yourself, woman, and toughen up." Her copious tears seemed enough to fill a pond. Despite not resembling the affluent Constantines, I did find admiration in her audacity to negotiate her own sacrifice—bargaining herself for her father's freedom with the infamous Beast.
As Leo succumbs to a severe fever, Haley confronts the depth of her emotions for him, surpassing what she initially acknowledged to herself.
Meanwhile, the Constantines have sworn to wage war. The unfolding events will scrutinise alliances and love, leaving us to question the extent of their determination and wonder about Haley's pivotal role in ushering in peace.
While a good portion of the decadence is less overt, the narrative takes a slightly milder turn, though it remains quite intense. I'll finish the series, just to quench my curiosity to how the storyline will unfold.

Leo Morelli will do anything necessary to protect his family, that is what he has always done, that’s what he will keep doing, never in his life he could have predicted he would protect a Constantine. It’s time to let the beast out he won’t stop at nothing to keep Haley safe, even if it means to go against her.
Haley has no intention to be a prisoner, yet the pull towards Leo is strong, she can’t deny the strength of her feelings, it’s a dangerous game she’s playing, there is no happy ending between a Constantine and a Morelli.
I am afraid. But not of him. Not only of him. Of the way I feel right now, shaky and lightheaded and on the verge of tears from a love that feels completely out of control
Book two shows how both Leo and Haley have to face the future but before that they need to open up, they need to show their true being, only when they get to the core of what they are they will be able to move forward.
Leo is a beautifully complicated character, Ms Wilde has done an amazing job in depicting him, in book two we see more of him, we get to know his deepest secrets and what makes him so amazing. If he was the one to pique my interest before he’s definitely my favourite after reading his story.
Haley is the perfect heroine for him, she matches him perfectly, she may give the impression of a delicate flower but she has thorns and isn’t afraid to use them when it comes to Leo and what they have. The seeds of the feelings between them now blossom and thrive, their attraction grow, the chemistry already in place picks up giving us steamy hot moments.

Just like the previous book this too, it’s told in dual POV, the writing flows easily and the story was over before I was ready to accept it. I know I have another book to look forward to and I can’t wait for it to be out, however I’m also sorry I will have to say goodbye to this wonderful couple.

The start of the book was painful...I was so uncertain about our characters...it put me on the edge of the seat...there were some calm moments too filled with love and adorable things...
Leo and Haley are so hot together...I mean you will be fanning yourself through out the steamy scenes....ohh this Billionaire has my heart..❤🤤

Well that went a completely different way to what I expected lol. I think I love the beast a little bit more.

I really liked this book even more than the first one. Much more goes on in this book. This book starts where the first when ends. Leo is hurt, very hurt and he is a very proud man. After the attack and when he’s home from hospital he decide to keep Hayley but she wants to protect him but also her family. Her family end up betraying her and she gets taken. That’s the basically what happens.
There relationship developed to another level in this book. Leo is like a different person. Hayley has become his angel. He needs her, needs to protect her.

Amelia Wilde – Hidden Beauty (Beauty and the Beast Trilogy, #2)
A Midnight Dynasty Collection
With the way Secret Beast ended I needed more of Leo and Haley and Hidden Beauty delivered beautifully.
Hidden Beauty continues from where we left off in part one. The second instalment in the Beauty and the Beast trilogy and the 13th release from the Midnight Dynasty collection, this book had it all. This dark retelling is filled with crime, enemies to lovers, forced proximity and the ever growing war between two powerful families. It had me captivated from the first page.
I loved the interaction between the two main characters. I adored Leo’s openness and generosity. Haley’s sweet nature and kind innocence. His dominance and her hero worship. Even with their odds against them, they make a beautiful pair. The spice was off the charts in this book. They were delicious together. It was hot and steamy. It was kinky and unbelievably scorching. I’m addicted to this couple.
I’m in love with Amelia Wilde’s writing. The world building was immaculate, and the way she develops her characters feels effortless. I’m more invested than ever before. I witnessed so many great elements of the Beauty and the Beast story. I've always preferred the darker versions of fairy tales and this truly paid homage to the classic. I am blown away.
I especially loved the special cameo in this book. I was excited to see the appearance of Lucien and to read more about the Morelli family. We got to meet Leo’s sisters; Eva and Daphne, and someone else. I have my fingers crossed Daphne gets a book in this collection. I am interested to see these secondary characters develop as my fascination for both the Constantine and Morelli families have only reached the surface.
This book ties in really well with Broken Hearts by M. O'Keefe. With every new book, the Midnight Dynasty collection becomes more complex and exciting. A world filled with hidden secrets and skeletons buried in the past. Hidden Beauty has bought us one step closer to understanding the motives of certain characters in this feud. As the series progresses we come across more revelations. In turn leaving us with many more questions. Who is Caroline’s new fixer, will we get introduced to Lisbetta, and are there many more Morelli’s out there…
Bring on the finale. I can’t wait to read Fallen Rose.

Hidden Beauty by Amelia Wilde made me fall for a burning angel hidden in the devil and his broken pieces. Leo Morelli holds this story together in his bloodied hands. If you need one reason to read this trilogy that would be experiencing Leo Morelli.
Leo Morelli want nothing but vengeance against their family nemesis Constantines. In this battle of power and riches, his war is personal. Haley Constantine is supposed to be his pawn. But he has fallen for her and stopped the bullet aiming for her. Now he is ready to protect her even if it means keeping her at prisoner. The enemies are coming closer and it might be a game of life or love.
So this story has firmly made me Team Leo. I mean there is no way to stop me from getting obsessed with this man. He is such a contradictory figure. To the world, he is the Beast of Bishop's Landing. A cold, cruel, ruthless monster. But that is his mask to hide his goodness. The protector, the caretaker, the sacrificed soul to help others. This story shows us glimpses of his past's terrors those moulded him into this man. Haley is definitely the key to unlock his secrets and his vulnerabilities. I won't lie, I was getting irritated with her a bit because she was constantly pushing Leo even when it was clear he just wants to keep her safe. I do understand it's difficult to choose between her family and her love. Specially when Leo isn't exactly an easy person to love. Still her hate to Leo didn't make sense to me and I am glad it was soon replaced by confused love. This story is exceptionally dirty and filthy. The kind only Amelia Wilde writes with a cocky alpha and his plaything. This story also felt a bit slow paced with the prose being convoluted and heavy and at times I felt distracted and out of sync. More trials are waiting for them and it will be interesting to see how Leo will handle it.

OH. MY. HEART! Leo owns me. He's the Beast because it suits him to have that persona but, honest to goodness, underneath it all, he is vulnerable, caring and loving. I want to hold him close forever and show him what love truly is.

This book picked up directly from the first one and was very much about Leo's suffering - both physically and mentally. It was a delve into who he really was and what made him tick. He spent a lot of time looking after everyone else but who looked after him? Haley totally stepped up in his time of need. They have such a special connection. He is broken, cruel and jaded, and she is everything good, innocent and pure.

I was completely enthralled by Leo and Haley. They both brought something into each other's life. The scene at the hospital was stunning. It was simple yet filled with so much emotion that I felt my heart ripping open. The underlying threat is very real to both of them and I was screaming at Haley to beware as the story came to a close. I'm completely jonesing for the final instalment!

This book picked up directly from the first one and was very much about Leo's suffering - both physically and mentally. It was a delve into who he really was and what made him tick. He spent a lot of time looking after everyone else but who looked after him? Haley totally stepped up in his time of need. They have such a special connection. He is broken, cruel and jaded, and she is everything good, innocent and pure.
"My need to be with Leo isn't as simple as love. I'm not sure I would call it that...It feels like a spell. Like gravity. Some power much larger than I am, pulling at my bones, pulling at my heart."
I was completely enthralled by Leo and Haley. They both brought something into each other's life. The scene at the hospital was stunning. It was simple yet filled with so much emotion that I felt my heart ripping open. The underlying threat is very real to both of them and I was screaming at Haley to beware as the story came to a close. I'm completely jonesing for the final instalment!

A romantic story with a tortured soul antihero, Leo, and his love Haley and the continuation of part one after that shattering ending. Now in the middle of a feud between the two families, beside Leo and Haley's stronger love interest, the story depicts a great multitude of supporting characters comprising the two rival families including some hotness Morelli brother Lucian, Constantine enforcer Roan, and steely sister Eva. But the Constantines have pledged war. How far will both go with to test alliances and love and what will Haley's role in bringing about peace be?
The greatest strength of this tale is its depth of romance from tortured Leo. He is the alpha, broody male you want as your partner. His life trials were heart-breaking. Meanwhile Haley continues to be an empathetic (lot of crying), altruistic character though somewhat reserved in her affections for Leo. When the plot line delves in their relations, there is some steam, but I think this story warrants more. Still, great chemistry between this two obviously fated lovers.
Appealing tale, I again find the writing overly prosy in a way that does not advance the plot or character development. In fact, in skipping through the inutile filler, I lost nothing in storyline.
A contemporary tale with romantic suspense and some beauty and the beast themes for sure, with a definite a nod to Romeo and Juliet. Great intrigue and mystery, a striking, but expected cliffhanger, but, mostly, a writing style that challenged my interest. I will not continue this series, unfortunately.

Hidden Beauty picks up right where that crazy as hell cliffhanger ended in Secret Beast and this ride will have you hanging on for dear life. The secrets, the twists and turns unveiled are astonishing and will have you gasping from the shock of it all. This book was so consuming I hated putting it down, it consumed my thoughts, had me wide-eyed and speechless with that heart-stopping ending......like WTH!!

Leo and Haley's relationship is shaping, growing becoming something truly magical but the deceit and lies are heartbreaking, I just know Fallen Rose is going to be the EPIC ending to a beautiful love story!!!

Amelia Wilde's delivery of Book 2 in the Beauty and the Beast Trilogy is stupendous. I love that as readers we're privy to the man behind the Beast of Bishop's Landing. I didn't think I could love Leo Morelli more than I do after reading this book. Leo and Haley's relationship is tumultuous, and the journey is every bit as exciting as I hoped. I can't wait to read the conclusion to this sublime trilogy. Hidden Beauty by Amelia Wilde is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!

That cliffie at the end of Secret Beast was TOTALLY worth it. Hidden Beauty is swoony and angsty and sweetly terrifying. Leo bares his soul and it's a beautiful thing. There's nothing like a redemption arc when the Hero is committed and have no doubt - Leo is all in when it comes to Haley. Gah! I just love bossy, protective heroes, and you will definitely love this one. You won't even mind another gut punch. I didn't!!!

Book 2 in the series keeps up the fast paced drama…I did put this book down for awhile not because of boredom but because I didn’t want to rush it. Hades makes a phone appearance…he and Leo have that pain loop in common. Leo goes through ALOT of physical trauma in this book. It ends on a cliffhanger that makes you want to move on quickly to the last book in the series.

This Beast of Bishop's Landing, although some refer to him as a prince, as he reigns over his kingdom and lives in a real castle. But to Haley, he is her dark prince, and incites these unknows sensations in her, so many emotions and feelings, ranging from hate, to infatuation, and possibly love?
After that heartbreaking ending in Secret Beast we start right up again, with Leo in the hospital, and his sister Eva arriving on the scene and taking over.
This couple's relationship is dark and deprived at times, and loving and caring at others. Leo has awoken a part of Haley that she can no longer deny, his darkness meeting her light, creating a bevy of sensation that only Leo can provide.
But that ending was devastating and shocking, again leaving me hanging and needing the answers.
Hidden Beauty was spectacular!

After that cliff hanger in secret beast I needed more ASAP! Luckily I didn’t have to wait long.
This story even thought it’s shorter then the first, gave me so many emotions. I could really feel all the love these two had for eachother.
Leo is still Leo, but you understand him more in this one. It shows some of his backstory which made him so much more relatable. And I already really liked him. I loved seeing the dynamic of his family… and I really felt for him… he has had a really hard past.
There were some twist and turns along the way that had me on the edge of my seat… And that cliffhanger what the?!? I defiantly need more. I cannot wait for the final book. Because Haley and Leo deserve the world after what they have been through.
I defiantly recommend this series.

Hidden Beauty, book 2 in the Beauty and the Beast trilogy was every-freaking-thing. It is an unputdownable book and had me so consumed. Just when you think Leo and Haley finally find their footing they stumble across rough roads which once again await their path. Their journey has been definitely full of ups and downs and I can’t wait for the final book to see if they finally get that hea they deserve. But one thing is for certain, Mr. Leo Morelli is still as dirty and delicious as he was in the first book, there is one scene that nearly had my panties combusting. Hot damn! Sooo, I am eager for more dirty Leo and can’t wait for more of that in the final instalment!!

We got to see Leo’s sweetness in this book- Hidden Beauty is such an apt title for Leo Morelli. We see a lot of his past come to light here also and how he takes care of his family.
Hayley is coming to understand the depths of her beast, while learning that he is trying to keep her safe, not just locked away.
Ugh, this is such a beautiful read. I really fell in love with Leo and Hayley. My hate for the Constantine’s just continues to grow.

In this book, we explore Leo and Haley's characters in more depth. Both have been through so much which has formed the way they are. In addition to the personal challenges the pair face they also need to work out how they are going to handle the twisted situation they have found themselves in.
Some of the storyline questions are answered, but plenty of things have been left outstanding for us to be hanging out for in book three. After the latest cliff hanger, I look forward to seeing how Leo and Haley's story concludes in Fallen Rose.

This picks up right where book 1 finished but what the fck? Like this was short as hell! I loved the content but seriously, there was no need for this to be a trilogy with this book being so short. Could have easily been a duet.
I love Leo even more after this installment, he's so tortured and broken and Hayley is the perfect antidote. I can't wait to see where this story goes and what comes of The beast and his beauty.
