DAY 01 - AIRPORT /NEGOMBO – (APPROX 20 MINUTES DRIVE)
 
Arrival to Sri Lanka, and you will be met by a B.O.C Travels Representative on Arrival at the Airport and transfer to Negombo.

Dinner & overnight stay at – Negombo    
   
DAY 02 - NEGOMBO /DAMBULLA – (APPROX 05 HOURS DRIVE)
  After Breakfast proceed to Dambulla, in route visit Elephant Orphanage 

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – Started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded the orphanage has grown to be a big family today. A unique experience never to be missed. The ideal time to watch them  [09.15Am – 10.15 Am /01.15.Pm – 02.015 Pm]

There after Visit Dambulla cave Temple (In Decent Attire)

Dambulla – is famous for the five cave temples on a rock.  The first 03 caves are better, older and larger than the other two.  Some caves dates to 1st C.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of Gods and Kings are also found here.

DAY 03 - DAMBULLA /POLONNARUWA – (APPROX 02 HOURS DRIVE)
 
After Breakfast transfer to Polonnaruwa Sightseeing.
 
Polonnaruwa – the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century, contains some splendid and spectacular status.  Lankatilake, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins and Tivanka has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period.  Rankot Vihara and Kiriwehera are well preserved large stupas, and Gal Vihare - a rock shrine, has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining and Parakrama Bahu statue are examples of Sinhalese stone carver. The Vata-da-ge is a unique creation of Sri Lankan artists.

Dinner & overnight stay at – Polonnaruwa
   
DAY 04 - POLONNARUWA /ANURADHAPURA – (APPROX 02 HOURS DRIVE)
 
After Breakfast visit eight sacred places – “Atamasthana” including Thuparama Dagoba Isurumuniya, Jetavanaramaya, Abhayagiriya

Anuradhapura – is the most celebrated of Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. The city’s greatest treasures are its dagabas constructed of small sun-dried bricks and hemispherical in shape. The most notable of these dagabas are the Ruwanweli which dates back to the 2nd Century BC and is 300ft in diameter, the Jethawanarama is 370ft and the Thuparama which enshrines the collarbone of the Buddha.  The city’s most renewed relic is the sacred Bo Tree which is said to have grown from a branch of the tree under which the Buddha gained enlightenment.  It was planted 2250 years ago and is the oldest historic tree in the world 

Evening proceed to visit Ruwanweliseya & Sri Maha Bodiya spend time for religious observances. (In Decent Attire)

DAY 05 - ANURADHAPURA /KANDY – (APPROX 02 ½ HOURS DRIVE)
 
After Breakfast transfer to Kandy. Commence Kandy City Tour, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Gem Museum and the Royal Botanical Garden.

Kandy – the hill capital. Venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism’s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple’s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere

Check in at Hotel for the refreshment proceed to Temple of tooth relic and join with the pooja ceremony. (In Decent Attire)

Dinner & overnight stay at – Kandy
   
DAY 06 - KANDY /NUWARA ELIYA – (APPROX 02 ½ HOURS DRIVE)
 
After Breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. In route visit Water Falls, Tea Factory & Estate.
Lunch at the Local Restaurant 
Commence Nuwara Eliya City Tour including Gregory Lake, Victoria Park.

Nuwara Eliya – The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations.  It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence.  Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.

DAY 07 - NUWARA ELIYA /COLOMBO – (APPROX 06 HOURS DRIVE)
  After Breakfast transfer to Colombo.
Lunch at the Local Restaurant 
Check in at the Hotel for refreshment. Evening Colombo City Tour & Shopping

Colombo – a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith's quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square.

DAY 08 - COLOMBO /AIRPORT – (APPROX 35 MINUTES DRIVE)
